A recent winner at the Midlands venue, the nap won with a fair bit in hand that day, galloping on strongly to see off Justcallmehandsome. That victory represented a marked step on previous efforts from the daughter of Elusive City and she looks a good bet to supplement the victories of Activate, Golden Flower and Miss Bunter, all of whom have scored for O'Meara in recent days.
Granted a slightly more patient ride last time, ARABIAN FLIGHT (Wolverhampton, 3.20) may have recorded her second all-weather triumph. Unfortunately for her backers, she was caught on the line after being booted for home with two furlongs to run, but the bare form still looks good enough for her to be competitive in today's field.
LASTKINGOFSCOTLAND (Kempton, 4.30) recorded five of his nine victories last year and the seven-year-old is fancied to get off the mark for 2013 in the Kempton finale. Only out of the frame twice in his last 10 races, he again ran his heart out last Wednesday only to be denied by a back to form Alnoomaas. The selection can bounce back this evening in a race in which most of the field has serious questions to answer.
